Careers in Plastics Recycling
Plastics recycling is a robust industry in the Carolinas, employing more than 3,500 people along the supply chain. From the collection of plastics to the transformation process, positions are need for every stage.
Drivers collect the recyclables and transport them to a MRF, at which sorters, plant managers, and technicians and mechanics work. Skilled personnel in support roles, such as sales and logistics, are also essential to the recycling industry.
Recycling jobs require people with a broad range of skill levels, with both technical and scientific skills. Larger recycling firms also employ workers in many other occupations, including management and human resources. For workers with few skills to those with Ph.D’s, the recycling industry is just right for your career by providing a career where you can improve the environment and be strong part of the economy.
